EQEcon.com is an independent fansite for the popular Massively Multiplayer Online Game EverQuest. While multiple sites offer player submitted in-game item prices, we wanted to create a site that provides more accurate prices straight from the Bazaar. We update our prices multiple times per day, and offer server-specific pricing and fully custom stock-market style price charts for EQEcon Premium subscribers.

We hope that EQEcon will help players find good prices for their items and give them a way to combat price inflation. We also hope our site will broaden the game's appeal to new players who would rather trade than hack-and-slash.

Our prices are 100% accurate because they come straight from the Bazaar. They are offer prices, that is, the price an item can be found for sale for on a trader. It's impossible to know exactly what price people are paying for an item (even with all the logs, how could you tell if someone was selling a Fungi for 20k, or just loaning it to a friend?), but you can get a good idea by looking at the offer prices.

Our prices are all from Bazaar traders, and do not include /ooc, /shout or serverwide market channel prices. The disadvantage of this is that offers in those channels are missed, but the advantage is that if you see a price on a trader, you are guaranteed to be able to buy at that price by simply walking up to them.

When you see an item's Value on EQEcon, this is a number calculated to be about what you'd have to pay for that item in the Bazaar if you always bought from the lowest priced trader. For more details on how we calculate Value, click here.

We don't collect this information, because we think it would be unfair to put traders' names on the web without their consent. If you have an item you want to sell, or if you're looking for a particular item on your server, we have mini-forums that will only be seen by other people looking for that item on your server. This is a great place to set up a trade.
