The EQEcon Tell-a-Friend program is a way for you to earn free EQEcon Premium subscription
time for telling your friends about the site. Simply give your friends your Referrer ID
or your unique Referrer Link, and if they use it to sign up for an EQEcon Premium account
you get a free month added to your own!
2. What do I earn for each friend who opens a new Premium account?
Each time a friend opens a new EQEcon Premium account using your unique Referrer Link
or by entering your Referrer ID, you get a free month added to your own Premium
account. There is no limit to the amount of free time you can accumulate, and a single
message board post could earn months or even years of free service.
3. What do I need to do to participate in the program?
You must have an EQEcon Premium account in good standing to participate in the Tell-a-Friend
program. Earned time will be added directly to your account, meaning that you will not
be billed again until that time has run out.
4. Where can I find my Referrer ID?
Log in to your EQEcon Premium account and click the "My Account" link under your name on the
left navigation bar. Your Referrer ID, Referrer Link and Tell-a-Friend stats can be found
in the Tell-a-Friend program box under the Subscription Information heading.
5. Is there a way to double check that my link is working?
Yes! Click on your link to open EQEcon. Then, view the page source (under IE, right-click on
the page and select "View Source"). Search for the text "Refid" within the page. You should
see a line that looks something like: <-- Refid: '12345' -->, where your Referrer ID
appears instead of 12345. If it does not appear, there is a problem with your link.
6. What else do I need to know (fine print)?
Duration of Service:
EQEcon does not guarantee service for the duration of time accumulated via the Tell-a-Friend
program, nor will we reimburse that time upon discontinuation of the service. For instance,
if you manage to accumulate 25 years of free Premium time and EQEcon closes in 24 years, you
will not be compensated in any way for lost free time.
Billing:
Free time is added directly to your account. For example, if your next billing cycle were
to end on 5/5/2004 and you earn a free month via the Tell-a-Friend program, your next billing
date would be pushed
back to 6/5/2004. At that time, you would be billed as normal according to your plan.
